Registering for College
And
Some Study Tips

Hello bloggers,

Last Monday I finally got the chance to register for my first semester college courses! I'm literally so excited! I start school next week, however I didn't end up getting the geography course I wanted because the seats were all filled up already. Boo!!

I am however going to be taking a History course, and a Environmental Science course instead of geography. And weirdly enough, I love science more than math. Anybody else feel the same way? Leave me a comment if you do! Lol.

I also went to Kmart a few days ago, and got some more basic stuff! What can I say, I love school supplies. Although who doesn't? Fun and colorful school supplies makes school fun. It also makes it easier for me to study, like say you want to high-light an important text. Once you high-light it you won't really forget it because it will jump out to you on the page. I also got some little "Post-It Notes" because they're great for sticking on pages to remind you where important information is.

I might do a whole post on study organization tips later on after the first week of school. So let me know if you guys want that or not in the comments as well.

Thanks for reading,

Stacey

College Chic

Blog #1

Getting New Stuff!

I first wanted to say that I am super excited to be a college freshman this year. Lets just say that my high school experience wasn't exactly "normal".  I went to public high school for a year, and I decided to do home schooling which was the best decision I ever made. I wanted to do home schooling in middle school, but my parent's thought it wasn't a good idea. However, I finally convinced them, and I got way better grades and learned a whole lot more then when I was in a public high school.

Because I didn't apply to any colleges or universities in time for this fall. I'm going to be going to a community college. Even though the college doesn't have my major, I'm going to be transferring anyway so it doesn't even matter. My major that I chose is JOURNALISM! Ha ha, isn't that funny because I'm technically doing journalism right now!

I was going back and forth between majors for a long time. But I finally decided on journalism because I have a youtube channel as well, and I guess you could say "I fell into" journalism. I have a main channel where I talk about beauty products, school and a bunch of other things like organization as well. And I thought doing youtube and journalism would be a good match. And I could learn more about media and my craft that I love at the same time. My youtube channel in case your wondering is youtube.com/glitterguitargirl19  .

A few days ago I went back to school supplies shopping, and I got some super cute stuff this year. I'm normally a plane jane when it comes school supplies, and I like simple stuff. But this year I went to Walmart (and I'm going to have to go to Target too to get more stuff ha ha) and I got some basic items for my classes. I plan on only taking 3 courses just to get me started. I only wanted to take 2 courses, but I thought it might be a good idea to do a general ed math class. So that way I can have a math course on my transfer applications.

Here's the stuff I bought!

I plan on doing another post on my organization tips as well as a youtube video later on so be sure to check out both this blog and my youtube channel for updates!

Thanks for reading my first ever post!
